Max Verstappen commented on Red Bull`s success in qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.


Verstappen took first place, his team-mate Sergio Perez - second. Qualifying brought Sergio close to second at the end of the season, which Max says is good news.


There were ups and downs in qualifying. She started off pretty well. The second segment came out a little chaotic. I don`t know why, but I couldn`t feel the grip on those tires.


But then in the third segment, the sensations became more normal again. There was a slightly scary moment - the machine turned off before the first attempt, so I had to reboot everything. Then we went out and both laps were pretty good.


I am very happy that both cars are on the front row, because we, of course, strive to win the race, and also want Cheko to become second in the championship. Certainly, this is a good start.


An amazing day and I still expect a good fight tomorrow. But we are at least two cars ahead, and we can do what we want, - said the two-time Formula 1 champion.
