Cristiano Ronaldo spoke about the pressure ahead of the World Cup.





- Yes, this is the fifth one. But the responsibility is always the same. Since I was 11 years old, when I left home to live alone in Lisbon, I have had a lot of responsibility.


Yes, I am watched much more closely than everyone else, but I feel a lot of responsibility as a player, as a friend, and as a father. This is part of my daily life.


I like this kind of responsibility, but the pressure is almost always the same. I feel it from a very young age. Sometimes I`m good, sometimes I`m bad, I`m not perfect, but I feel I can handle the pressure of this World Cup.





- If at 37 years and 8 months I still had to prove something, I would be worried. After all that I have done and already won, this would be unexpected.


But of course, year after year, I want to keep showing my family and fans that I`m okay. This World Cup is important, it is one of the most important events in my career, it is a dream to win it, but if I don`t win anything else, I will still be very proud of my career, " said the Manchester United and Portugal striker.
