Alpha Tauri boss Franz Tost shared his expectations for the team`s new driver line-up in 2023.


Yuki Tsunoda`s new partner in Alpha Tauri is Nick de Vries, who replaced Pierre Gasly.


Yuki Tsunoda has shown quite good dynamics of development during the season. He managed to add and in the last qualifications was even faster than Pierre Gasly. Further progress depends solely on him. I expect strong performances from him in the 2023 season.


In early September, it became apparent that Pierre Gasly would move to Alpin. Pierre has become a very experienced racer, but in the person of Esteban Ocon he gets a very strong partner, who also knows the Alpin team very well and is very familiar with the car. Let`s see how quickly Pierre can integrate into the work of the new team.


As long as our new car performs well, I expect a lot from Nick de Vries. He did a great job in the tests in Abu Dhabi, providing the team with very high-quality feedback. We will prepare him well. We have two more tire test sessions and one private test session before next year`s pre-season testing. This means that by the time the next season starts, de Vries will have a 3, 000-4, 000 km roll behind the wheel of an F-1 car. So he should be well prepared for the start of the season, " said Toast.
