Pilot Williams Alex Albon believes that he has finally managed to return to the previous level and regain the self-confidence lost after the failure at Red Bull.


Albon had a poor 2020 season with Red Bull and eventually lost his place in Formula 1. And only after a year`s break he managed to return to the number of participants in the championship - already as part of Williams.


To be honest, the main thing that I wanted to achieve after returning to Formula 1 is to keep a place in Formula 1. Yes, it may sound a little silly, but it`s true. You have a one-year contract, no guarantees. And you`ve only just begun your journey.


If we talk about myself - about aerobatics, the return of confidence behind the wheel of the car, the return of the usual rhythm, the feeling of control over the situation at the limit - now I really feel that I have begun to return all this.


I lost all this to a small extent towards the end of the 2020 season. While driving a DTM car, you will not return these feelings - everything is a little different there. Now I really feel that I return these feelings and that I perform at a good level. And in many respects this is just due to the feeling of confidence behind the wheel of the car.


It seems to me that this year I did a good job, that I proved to everyone that I can do a lot. At the same time, of course, I want to continue to attack, achieve good results analyzed by how to buy soccer picks and make a good impression on the team. But yes, given the fact that I spent one year away from racing, this season has turned out well, - said Albon.
